Sony Ericsson New Program to support XperiaX10

Sony Ericsson runs the program called Trad In to support its flagshipAndroid smartphone. Within theframeworks of the program customers can exchange their old Sony Ericsson models forXperia X10 from May 11 to 25.

Thousands of free applications for Xperia X10 are available in Android Market online store. In addition, the device can boast of two exclusive programs – Timescape and Mediascape, that help to structure the contacts from various social networks and contents in the memory of X10.

The smartphone is equipped with a 4-inch touch screen with a resolution of 480 × 854 pixels, 8.1-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, GPS-receiver, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB-port .

At present X10 runs Android 1.6 operating system, but at the end of the year the manufacturer will release the Android 2.1 platform for the smartphone, thanks to which the device will be capable to shoot HD-video similar to Vivaz, will support wireless home connection via DLNA. The device will still lack the support for “multi-touch”.

The firmware may be updated through update service in the official site of Sony Ericsson.
