Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean Update Official

There is good news for the owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 in China and Taiwan. The firmware for Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is now out under the name of Android 4.1.2 ZSLE. This update comes without branding for the device. It provides the user with language packages in Chinese and in case you have a handset that is unlocked you can install it without hassles. Now when you are ready to get this update you need to keep in mind that this update is one that comes without any changes. The ClockworkMod is already installed.

You are able to get the update along with the TouchWiz interface and SmartStay, Project Butter, DirectCall, Pop up Play, a new lock screen and S Cloud. Once the ROM is updated the users will get a Dropbox storage memory of about 50GB. They will also be treated to more than a single home screen along with a notification that is an updated one. Google Now will also be more enhanced and better with this update.

When you are going for the update you must ensure that you have 85% battery left. You also enable the debugging of the USB and for this you need to go into settings and developer options to make the changes.

Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Update for HTC One Coming Shortly

HTC One is all set to get the Android 4.2.2 update very soon. HTC’s ROM developer LlabTooFeR has confirmed this news. This is another good news from the side of HTC that confirmed sometimes back that One’s production will now be doubled in May in spite of all the production delays and the issues that plagued the phone since launch. It seems that this update timeline has been announced on Twitter by someone close to the development and not by the company itself.

HTC has been under pressure to update the HTC One, which comes with Android 4.1.2 out of the box as compared to the Samsung Galaxy S4 was preloaded with Android 4.2.2 straightaway. Android 4.2 is actually not a massive upgrade over Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but it comes with certain new features including lock screen widgets, stock gesture-enhanced keyboard, Quick Settings in notifications, but there is no such significant improvement like  that happened in case of Android 4.1 over its predecessor.

The HTC One includes a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display supporting full 1080p HD resolution natively. The display has pixel density of 469 pixels per inch and 1080×1920 resolution. HTC One has an anodised aluminum body. Inside its 9.3 mm thick chassis, this handset has a quad-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T mobile processor with 2 GB RAM.

The manufacturer has claimed that this is the most social “Asha” launched by the Company till date. This is the latest entrant to the product line of cheap budget phones unleashed by the company. Windows Phone 8 Gets BBC iPlayer

There is good news for BBC fans! Now they are able to get the iplayer app of BBC from the Windows Store after its launch back in March. This App is however not a native App and it is just a shotcut to the website. This means that there are some features that you will not get like the viewing capabilities offline. Now this does not mean you have to be disappointed as there are features like the Live Tile Support and the compatibility to stream TV shows over a 3G or a Wi-Fi Connection.

Now there is bad news for mobile users who do not have the latest version of the OS of Microsoft. The BBC has made an announcement that the above App will only be functional for users who have the Windows Phone 8 platform only. This App will not be supported for phones that are running on the 7.5 Platform despite its promise that it will be available on the older versions soon. This is of course disappointing news. BBC has stated that Windows 7.5 has certain limitations and this is the reason why it cannot be available on phones that have this operating system. The BBC iPlayer is currently available on all operating systems that include the iOS, Blackberry 10 and Android.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Likely To Be Out In July

Release date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has been set for mid July. The timing is significant, as it is almost three months after the fully fledged Samsung Galaxy S4 reaches to the customers. Sources close to Samsung are saying that this Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be available from the week commencing July 15.

This smaller version of Galaxy S4 will be available in two colors – white and black as they are likely to be under the guise of Samsung GT-I9192ZWA and Samsung GT-I9192ZKA. This Galaxy S4 is likely to be a success as the way the smaller version of Samsung Galaxy S3 – the Galaxy S3 Mini was a success.

Incidentally, the S4 Mini release date has been informally decided for week 29 of the year while while the black Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom release date has been set for week 23, the week commencing June 3 and its white color  counterpart is not expected to hit retailers until two weeks later.

Along with this Galaxy S4 Mini, the release date of Samsung Galaxy S4 Activ has been fixed in the week 29, like the Galaxy S4 Mini. This Galaxy S4 Activ is likely to come in metallic orange device and is also expected to include water and dust proof capacity.

Nokia Releases The Nokia Lumia 928 Teaser Ahead Of May 14th Launch

In an unprecedented move Nokia took most mobile enthusiasts by surprise by announcing the release of the Nokia Lumia 928 Teaser much ahead of its May 14th Launch. This means people now can get an insight into what Nokia will be providing in its next flagship mobile device. The teaser does not have the name of the phone however the URL gives the game away. This phone is expected to have a 4.5 inch AMOLED screen along with a Pureview Camera complete with Carl Zeiss lens and a HD Video. The phone also has 4G LTE support along with the Windows Phone 8 OS. The Nokia Lumia is all set to make its debut in the USA. It will be launched on the popular network of the USA Verizon. Samsung Galaxy S4 Fails To Overtake HTC One

The latest news is that this phone has not been able to overtake the mobile title from HTC One. Analysts Predict Release of Iphone 5S and Iphone 6 Later This Year

According to the analysis by a renowned market research firm, Apple will release two iPhone 5 successors iPhone 5S and the low cost iPhone 6 in 2013 itself. Rumors are doing round the corner that probable release date for iPhone 5S is June and for the low-cost iPhone 6 is September 2013.

Analysts believe that true iPhone 5 successor, the iPhone 5S, will release with just a few important upgrades to its processors and camera infrastructure, with “an outside chance” the device will feature near-field communication (NFC) chip for the first time. Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster was saying about this. Munster was quoted as, “We continue to believe Apple will have a cheaper phone product to address the emerging markets; In recent public comments, Tim Cook noted that the original iPod cost $399, and eventually the company released a $49 iPod Shuffle, which addressed a broader market. We believe Apple will likely introduce a cheaper device in the September quarter.”

There are many more reasons why Apple should simultaneously release the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 in 2013 than against. With analysts and investors concerned with Apple’s diminishing share price, and the constant threat of rivals’ releasing better smartphones each year, the pressure is on Apple to stay competitive. Releasing a low-priced iPhone 6 to attack those emerging markets might be the key.
