Verizon To Offer LTE-Ready Samsung Stratosphere

Verizon has announced that it would soon be selling the Android-powered Samsung Stratosphere. This handset is the Big Red’s first 4G LTE that comes with QWERTY keypad. The phone that would be arriving on the 13th of October runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1GHz processor. The main attractions of the phone are the 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and the 5-row QWERTY keyboard.

This handset has a similar look of the Sprint’s Epic 4G. The latest device by Samsung can offer the users a spacious typing experience due to the -row QWERTY keyboard. The phone boasts of having many additional specifications such as a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for a unique picture shooting experience. A microSD expansion slot, Wi-Fi, DLNA connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, and mobile hotspot capabilities are some of the other highlights of the stratosphere.

The Samsung Stratosphere is the ideal choice for the business-minded consumes. Some of the pre-loaded applications that are incorporated in the device are Cisco AnyConnect 2.1 SSL VPN, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and Sybase Afaria.

The Samsung Stratosphere can be fond on the Verizon store’s shelves from October 13 at a price of $149.99 along with two year service agreement.
