This handset has a similar look of the Sprint’s Epic 4G. The latest device by Samsung can offer the users a spacious typing experience due to the -row QWERTY keyboard. The phone boasts of having many additional specifications such as a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for a unique picture shooting experience. A microSD expansion slot, Wi-Fi, DLNA connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, and mobile hotspot capabilities are some of the other highlights of the stratosphere.

The Samsung Stratosphere is the ideal choice for the business-minded consumes. Some of the pre-loaded applications that are incorporated in the device are Cisco AnyConnect 2.1 SSL VPN, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and Sybase Afaria.

The Samsung Stratosphere can be fond on the Verizon store’s shelves from October 13 at a price of $149.99 along with two year service agreement.

Verizon has released an official statement where it has curtailed its return policy from thirty to fourteen days. The release date of the Verizon iPhone 4 is February the 10th and there is a possibility that mobile lovers will go in for the iPhone 4 when it is released on this date. Now the iPhone 4 is not a new phone however the HTC Thunderbolt is one that is a new one and it is anticipated that this device will be huge demand once released on the carrier. The salient feature of this new offering by HTC is simultaneous voice and data on 3G. There are rumors that this device will also come equipped with a hot spot feature that is a 4G compatible for catering up to eight devices. There is no confirmation on the news on why the HTC Thunderbolt is going to come out later however it seems that those who are eager to get hold of the HTC Thunderbolt need to wait a little longer for the device to land in their hands!

The other notable features of the phone include a dual core processor, NVIDIA Tegra 2 and Cortex N9. The phone also has a great screen resolution and for social networking lovers it has all the e-mail applications and access to the prominent social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. The signature MotoBlur is also present in this phone. Both Verizon and Motorola have not yet announced the tentative date and price of the phone. The phone is hyped to be a phone that falls under the bid slab category and mobile users all over the world need to wait for its release to check out how it fares in the market!

Keeping the spirit of the above rumors alive were placards that appeared over the weekend stating that the first part of Apple’s iPhone is ready to ship to allocated destinations in the first quarter of 2011. This can be yet another rumor that should not be believed so soon and easily. There have been rumors of the White Apple iPhone since the inception of the iPhone and it has not been seen in the market. There was anticipation recently that the White iPhone would appear at the end of this year but it did not! Only time will tell us when the White iPhone surfaces, till then all we can do is cross our fingers and wait and watch!

In essence, we believe the ads mislead consumers into believing that AT&T doesn’t offer ANY wireless service in the vast majority of the country. In fact, AT&T’s wireless network blankets the US, reaching approximately 296M people. Additionally, our 3G service is available in over 9,600 cities and towns. Verizon’s misleading advertising tactics appear to be a response to AT&T’s strong leadership in smartphones. We have twice the number of smartphone customers… and we’ve beaten them two quarters in a row on net post-paid subscribers. We also had lower churn — a sign that customers are quite happy with the service they receive.

AT&T claims the map is misleading although it clearly states that it is depicting 3G coverage.Verizon began an aggressive series of marketing campaigns targeting the iPhone dynamic duo of AT&T and Apple. It began with the ‘There’s a Map for That’ ads, playing off of the iPhone ‘There’s an App for That’ marketing slogan and illustrating how Verizon has 5 times more 3G network coverage than AT&T. It followed that up with the iDon’t campaign, highlighting weaknesses of the iPhone and stating that the upcoming Android-based Droid can do all of those things and more.

AT&T doesn’t claim that the information related to 3G coverage is wrong, but the customers that view the map are too dumb to understand tahat it refers only to 3G coverage, and not coverage at all.

The claim itself is just silly. People aren’t really that dumb.

The lawsuit may be a bad strategic move for AT&T because it can have the exact opposite effect. AT&T has asked for an injunction to prevent Verizon from continuing the ad campaign so that customers won’t continue to see the stark contrast of the 3G networks from each provider. The result is that the marketing campaign is getting tons of attention and free advertising, and customers are led to question what AT&T is trying to hide.

AT&T marketing claims that it has the ‘fastest 3G network’. For customers who live within the city limits of major urban centers that may be great, but for the people living in the white part of the map in the Verizon ad having the biggest 3G network is a more relevant claim. In an industry that is already moving on to 4G networks, not having 3G coverage is the same as no coverage for all intents and purposes.

What AT&T needs to realize is that it’s a smart phone world. Mobile phones are not just phones any more–they’re being replaced by mobile computing devices. Yes, AT&T has coverage of some sort in the vast majority of the blank white space depicted on the map in the Verizon ad, but that coverage is not sufficient to meet the needs of devices that rely on broadband connectivity.

The Moto Droid will be available via Verizon from November 6. The estimated price is $199.99 with a 2 year agreement and $100 debate.

Motorola and Verizon positioned the Droid as a “no-fuss, high-tech, location-aware, voice-recognizing, over-the-air updating, multi-tasking machine.” device.

Most of the smartphone’s features are now confirmed, including the 3.7 inch, 480×854 pixels capacitive touchscreen display, EV-DO Rev A connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, D1 video playback, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, Flash 10 ready HTML browser, 5MP autofocus camera with dual-LED flash, 16GB of storage space, MicroSD card support, and 1400 mAh battery.

That’s all we’ve got so far, but it’s a heck of a change in plans, isn’t it?

Motorola Droid runs Android 2.0 “Eclair” OS and does not support MOTOBLUR or Verizon interfaces.

We should remind that Motorola Droid (Tao, Shules) is a QWERTY-slider with touch screen. It’s assumed that the device will be announced in 1.5-2 weeks. And in 2010 will be released another version of the smartphone with no keypad.

The most awaited is, of course, the HTC Imagio, which is a smartphone that will come with Windows Mobile 6.5.

Imagio will be available online from October 6, and in retail stores from October 20. The price is estimated $199.99 with a 2 year contract and after a $100 rebate.

We’d like to remind you some features: 3.6 inch WVGA touchscreen display, TouchFlo 3D, HSDPA and EV-DO Rev. A connectivity, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP autofocus camera, and V CAST Mobile TV (this service costs $15 per month).

Next comes Nokia 2705 Shade, a clamshell phone, stated as “one of the smallest phones to be offered by Verizon.”
Nokia 2705 Shade has internal and external displays, 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, micro USB and a battery that can provide a talk-time of up to 5 hours.

The phone will be available from October 6 in two versions – with or without camera, and users will be able to buy Xpress-on color covers for it. The price is only $29.99 with a 2 year contract.

The third new phone is Motorola Barrage V860, which is also a clamshell – but a rugged one that is resistant to shock, vibration, water and humidity.

The features of Motorola Barrage include: push-to-talk, VZ Navigator, 2MP camera and a 1170 mAh battery. The Barrage is available at Verizon starting today, for $129.99 with a 2-yr agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. There will also be a cameraless version, launched on October 21.

And the last new phone is the Verizon Razzle, which is a candybar with a QWERTY keyboard that swivels to unveil dedicated music controls. Other features include a 2.2 inch QVGA display, VZ Navigator, Bluetooth, 1.3MP camera and a 1GB card.

It costs $69.99 with a contract. It will be available from October 6.Today Verizon  has announced no more no less four new phones.

The bottom of Pantech Razzle TXT8030 has two sides and it can be rotated, transforming the handset in either a full QWERTY phone, or in a device that looks more like a Portable Music Player with stereo speakers and dedicated controls.

The device also features a landscape display (probably QVGA), VZ Navigator, 1.3MP camera and MicroSD card support.

The Pantech Razzle TXT8030 is to be released in October. The price is not known at a moment.

The HTC Imagio XV6975 will probably be launched by Verizon in the first half of October, coming with Windows Mobile 6.5 and other really nice features like a 3.6 inch WVGA touchscreen display, global connectivity (CDMA and GSM), TouchFlo 3D, Wi-Fi, VCast MobileTV, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP camera with autofocus, and a 528MHz processor.

The price is not known yet.

LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 is designed to operate in the 800/1900 MHz CDMA networks and supports CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEV-DO rev.0/1xEV-DO rev.A connections. The model is equipped with 3-inch touch TFT screen, 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording and digital zoom, 1 GB of internal memory and microSD/microSDHC slot for memory card. The device does not support wireless WiFi-connection, but has a module Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB-port and 3.5-mm audio connector. VX8575 also has a built-in GPS-navigator and FM-radio.

The model was not officially announced yet, however, according to the resource, it will happen before the end of autumn.

The Motorola Barrage is a rugged, push-to-talk clamshell phone.

It will be available in two versions: with and without a 2MP camera. Among other specifications we should mention the external music controls, GPS, 2.5mm headset jack and MicroSD card support.

Nothing is available on launch date and price of Motorola Barrage V860, but it is expected to be more expensive, than the recently launched Motorola Entice W766.

According to rumors, HTC Imagio will be equipped with  a 3.6 inch WVGA touchscreen display, GPS, 5MP camera with autofocus, 528MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM and global connectivity (CDMA/EV-DO and GSM).

Besides HTC Imagio, Verizon is also planning to release an Android smartphone in October: it’s the HTC Predator.It might be the HTC PR17 recently approved by the Bluetooth SIG as an Android phone featuring Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP. Nothing more known about this device.

The Entice is a simple clamshell that provides “one touch access to your favorite functions.” The phone is designed to work CDMA in 800/1900 1X/EVDO networks.
