The operator T-Mobile has confirmed that will release the next version of firmware 1.1/RC-33 for smartphone T-Mobile G1 from 5 to 15 February. Firmware will be updated by OTA (Over the Air, “by air”). It already has a limited number of users, thus, this is a test release.
Unfortunately, this update still does not contain update of Android platform, code-named Cupcake, which is so eagerly awaited by Android based G1 users and should bring quite a lot of new features.
Those who were lucky enough to get update RC-33 before the oter users of Android-smartphone, said that the smartphone now supports voice search for Google.
When will the long-awaited Android Cupcake be announced operator has not yet been reported.
