The official blog of Symbian Foundation has published a new roadmap of operating system Symbian, which will be developed jointly by several companies. The organization Symbian Foundation has quite a lot of participants, the largest of them are Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG and Samsung. The new OS will be open, it will be marked as follows: Symbian ^ N (abbreviated – S ^ N), where N-number version.

As reported in the Symbian Foundation blog, the first release of the new operating system, Symbian ^ 2 will be ready by mid-2009. And after half a year in sales will be smart phones running Symbian ^ 2. Six months after the version of Symbian ^ 2 developers plan to complete Symbian ^ 3, the device based on it will be in 2010. And by the end of next year should have Symbian ^ 4, said the blog of Symbian Foundation.
