Sony boss demands better results from Sony Ericsson
Howard Stringer, boss of Sony, spoke very cautiously about the situation around Sony Ericsson, the joint venture of Sony and Ericsson. In particular, in an interview to a German newspaper Die Welt, top manager responded to a direct question: whether the Japanese company will cease cooperation with Ericsson?
“For Sony Ericsson, it was a very difficult year, but redemption of partner shares has never been an easy decision - Stringer said. - We must work together, as did two years ago, or joint venture must find its own solution to its own problems”.
By the way, Sony recently lowered profit expectations of its unit, indicating, among other things, the company’s difficulties in the production of mobile phones.
