The Sony Ericsson brand has officially begun the shipments of its handsets the Cedar and the Xperia X8. The latter is said to be the most affordable Android Smartphone launched by the brand and the Cedar is the latest addition to the Greenheart collection of handsets that have been launched by the company.
The Cedar runs on the OS system of Sony Ericsson and it is also equipped with a convenient alpha numeric keyboard that also has a number of other useful features like a calendar e-mail, messaging and others. The handset has a desktop widget that offers unlimited access to MySpace, Twitter and Facebook. The other features that are involved are the Exchange Active Sync that also gives the user access to corporate emails, contacts and calendar. The handset is eco-friendly and at the same time also has the additional features of EcoMate and GreenCalculator.
The Sony Xperia X8, on the other hand, operates on the Android 1.6 but it is anticipated to get an update to Android 2.1 later in the year. This phone gives the user the benefits of a 3.2MP camera along with autofocus. It is a beautiful set that also has Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone also has a high screen resolution and it also has the ability to access a number of applications.
