Samsung decided to rename announced but not yet released touch phones S5600 and S5230 to more sonorous marketing names – Samsung Preston and Samsung Star, respectively. These names will be used in most countries (but not all), where these models will be sold.
UK is first in the list, where the S5230 will be known as Samsung Toco Lite, and Poland, where the same device is sold under the brand name Avila. In Italy, Samsung S5600 will be Halley, as in France – Player. Why the Korean manufacturer gets of this confusion in names – is unclear.
Samsung Star is already available in some countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Model Samsung Preston will appear later, but only in Europe and Asia.
