phonemag.com denied rumors regarding Zune Phone to be presented in CES 2009.
According Tripa Chaudhry, analyst of Global Equities Research, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will formally announce a mobile device in the style of Zune in 7 Jan, 2009, during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
In his article Chaudhry argues that the new company will combine the best features of Zune media players and mobile platform SideKick. This means that the unit will be equipped with a QWERTY-keyboard (such as T-Mobile G1) and a large screen for multimedia support. And once the company decided to build a sophisticated device, the lack of multi-touch is amazing.

However, rumors may remain rumors, and Microsoft will introduce a web-oriented gaming console XBox Zune instead of phone, rumors of which also are circulated quite a long time.
