Nokia is preparing new shock resistant, rugged mobile gadgets. Information about the Nokia 3720 model (the word «classic» in the title is not yet available), states that it supports the standard IP54, which means it is resistance to dust and moisture.
Figure 5 in the title of the standard means that the resistance to dust on the phone is at a very high level, «Quartet» refers to the protection against spray (but not submerged in water).
It has been quite some time after the release of the Finnish company last «extreme» – Nokia 5500 Sport. In contrast to it, hardly a the Nokia 3720 is a smartphone, and it will be probably have software platform S40. The main rivals of the phone will be devices from Samsung – B2700 and B2100 Explorer.
A more detailed technical specifications will be available later, we know only that it will be sold in September via T-Mobile.
