Pre-Orders Of IPhone Hit 2 Million

Pre-orders of the iphone 5 has already hit 2 million in just 24 hours after the handset was on sale. Apple has stated that some customers however need to wait till October till they finally can get their hands on the coveted device.

The latest offering from Apple is slimmer and larger than its predecessors that have hit the market before.  This phone will be released on the 21st of September with the companies taking pre-orders directly from the company via mobile operators across the globe. The number of first day orders of the company was astounding and it crossed the number that previously was laid for the iphone 4S. This order has exceeded its initial handset supply and this is encouraging news for the company.

Most of the pre-orders will be delivered to customers on the 21st of September. The rest is scheduled to arrive in October. Apple released a statement in the above regard with its website stating that orders will be shipped in a span of two to three weeks.

The rollout to the other 28 nations scheduled to get the iphone will begin on the 28th of September. Keen customers have already begun queuing outside Apple stores in order to get their hands on the new device.
