Dual-Sim Emgeton Enzo

Emgeton is not yet that famous maker of the mobile phones. Some of you might have seen their MP3 players, but now they’re already heading to handset market with a dual-SIM phone called Emgeton Enzo. The good looking device reminds us of Sony Ericsson C902. The new device, Emgeton Enzo, has the following features: a 2.2 inch QVGA screen, Tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz) connectivity, HSDPA 2100 Mhz connectivity for the first SIM card, 2 megapixel camera and front-face VGA camera for video calls, Bluetooth, media player, email client, 50MB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSD cards and battery that powers the device for up to 5 hours in talk and up to 10 days in standby mode The size of the device is 117×49×16.5 mm,  weight – 109 grams.

The Emgeton Enzo will probably be available starting from April in the Czech Republic (Emgeton is Czech-based), so far. The handset has a set price of 7.990 CZK, which is about 300 EUR or $388.

Sprint launches Palm Treo Pro for $199.99

Sprint has finally released to the market the highly anticipated Palm Treo Pro, which is now available for purchase starting from March 15th. This Windows Mobile 6.1-based handset has the latest version of Internet Explorer Mobile 6, as well as it offers users the mobile versions of Microsoft Office and Outlook.

As we have already previously seen, Sprint has delayed the purchasing availability of the device quite a few times, that’s why some even doubted that the company would finally release the Treo Pro in mid March.

The device comes out with some nice features like a full QWERTY keyboard, a touch screen display able to provide a 320 x 320 pixel resolution. The handset has Microsoft Direct Push Technology, as well as support for POP3 and IMAP including AOL, Gmail, Earthlink, and Yahoo, as well as it has

Sprint TV enabled, GPS capabilities, Web and email capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, speakerphone, memory card slot for additional 8GB of storage space, voice dialing, Wi-Fi connectivity, a built-in 2-megapixel photo snapper with digital zoom and video recording capabilities, as well as a slim and fashionable design.

The new sleek handset is available on Sprint for $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract with the carrier, and after a mail-in rebate of $100.

iPhone OS 3.0 to bring whole lot of features including copy, cut and paste

Kevin Rose, the master of Apple rumors himself, has been flapping his gums about iPhone OS 3.0, due to be unveiled at a press event this Tuesday.

Kevin has picked up a perfect location with a large crowd at SXSW, to reveal the secrets of 3.0 because of the large congregation of tech geeks.

It makes all of us wonder what kind of secret that is. He basically confirms that all our hopes and dreams will come true, as copy and paste will finally be a reality for the iPhone. According to him, the interface is similar to the magnifying glass, so with the use of two fingers we can select your text and copy away!

But that’s not the only thing we know. Rose also mentioned that these additions will bring the iPhone up to competing with the Palm Pre, though there will be no support for background apps. In addition to this, we’ve already heard rather good rumors that 3.0 will also have MMS and tethering capabilities.

As we have already seen a huge change from OS 1.x to 2.x, so we’re really looking forward to seeing another large jump in usability and capability of 3.0.

Europe gets LG Arena KM900

LG’s freshest and greatest KM900 Arena multimedia phone is now officially launched in Europe, although the South Korean company hasn’t mentioned how much the device would likely cost.

It is already known that there are more than 1 million Arena phones pre-ordered, that is why LG is probably anticipating the handset to be at least as successful as Viewty (the 5MP full-touch phone sold in more than 5 million units).

The KM900 Arena is not a smartphone, as it runs on LG’s 3D S-Class User Interface. However, it has a variety of cool features, including a 480 x 800 pixels touch screen display, a 5MP auto focus camera, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Dolby Mobile, a 3.5mm headset jack, DivX and Xvid support and a 8GB of internal memory.

LG Arena will be on sale in most European markets this month. It will appear in two color versions: silver and black titanium.

Slider Samsung C3110H available in Hong Kong

If you still keep in mind Samsung’s entry-level slider C3110, which we saw getting FCC’s seal of approval at the end of last year, then  we can inform you now that the same device just got an “H” at the end of its name for the Hong Kong market and it looks quite appropriate and matching  in all in black, purple and silver color options .Samsung is now offering the device under its Anycall brand for HK$1,080, which is about $139.

The device includes a 2-inch 220×176 pixels screen on-board, 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, music player, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 15MB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSDHC cards, and a battery which can last for 8.5 hours of talk and/or 510 hours of standby time.

In a nutshell, it’s a solid purchase for the first time mobile phone buyers or for those folks who want their phone for basic stuff, plus music on the go.

Cheaper iPhone from O2 this summer

o2 logoThe iPhone 3G carrier in the UK, O2, is rumored to offer the iPhone 3G for a lower price, as all are waiting for the new iPhone, which will come out this summer.

For the moment the 8 GB version is available for free on £44.05 a month contracts, whereas the 16GB iPhone is free only on a £73.41 a month contract, but as the rumors say the 8 GB will appear to be on £35 a month contracts and 16 GB – on £45 tariffs. This is yet uncertain now, but it is likely to be true, since almost everyone is expecting a newer iPhone to come out this summer, as an annual summer release. Especially with news of OS 3.0 being announced this week, it’s usually a good indication of things to come.

Another rumor also states that Orange may also begin selling the next-gen iPhone, by this putting an end to O2’s reign of exclusivity in the UK.

HTC Maple likely to be shown at CTIA fair

This time the flow of news that spreads that fast is about the HTC Maple, the handset, so impatient to appear at the CTIA Wireless Trade Show April 1-3 in Las Vegas.

As we have been informed, Maple looks like a “Blackberry”, and has some similar features as the Samsung Blackjack and Moto Q.

According to HTC 2009 roadmap, the Maple will have a 2.4″ QVGA display along with Windows Mobile 6.1. Other specs are 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM and a 528MHz Qualcomm 7225 processor. For this moment, however, we also see other HTC devices in the lineup, which do not keep back from Maple, but we refrain from any judgments unless we have more details and photos on hand.

Samsung Lucido to “shine” in April

Samsung has announced a new phone for the European market Samsung Lucido, as the manufacturer states, «average price competition».

Created very alike to Tocco Ultra Edition, model Lucido, however, is a bar phone. As Samsung says, «simple and brilliant» Design (Lucido in Italian means «shine») placed in a metal casing just 11.8 mm thick.

The device has a AMOLED-screen size of 2.2″, a 5 MP camera, as well as 8 GB of memory, expandable through microSD cards. A-GPS is there for you, based on Google Maps, support for HSDPA speed 7,2 MB/s, Bluetooth and FM-radio and the «pause etiquette» feature.

Live photos of  12.1 MP cameraphone Sony Ericsson Idou appeared in the net, but this time with stylus. This accessory has attracted attention due to the fact that Idou is equipped with User Interface that is fully adapted to finger control, and thus does not require a stylus.

Although there are phones that are equipped with the stylus only for the convenience of users, who are not accustomed to finger input.

Rumor: Nokia 7205 Intrigue

The Net has given out not official photos of clamshell Nokia Intrigue 7205. Usually the quality of such «spy» images leaves much to be desired. But this time the pics are rather good, so we hasten to share with you. What regards to the technical specs of the device, we know that Nokia 7205 Intrigue is equipped with a QVGA-display, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth module, slot for microSD cards and MP3 player control keys.

The official announcement of the new product is scheduled for March 15. It is also known that Intrigue 7205 will be available from Verizon. Well, for those who would like to get it, its indicative price will be a little more than $100.
