LG GX500 Supports Two SIM cards

It has become known that LG Electronics is preparing to release LG GX500 mobile phone. It is a non-keyboard piece with 3-inch touch screen, with a resolution of 400×240 pixels.
The main feature is that it simultaneously supports two SIM cards. There are not so many devices like that, although their number is growing and manufacturers pay attention to this trend.

Mobile devices that can simultaneously operate with two SIM cards are very popular in Russian market.
Concerning this LG GX500, it is worth noting that it has a 3 megapixel camera, a slot for microSD memory cards up to 4 GB and a 1500 mAh capacious battery. The phone measures 109x53x13 mm. Judging by the characteristics, the cost of the device is unlikely to “go off-scale”, although such decisions are usually more expensive than traditional, with one SIM card.
For now nothing specific about the cost of LG GX500 is reported.

LG Arena Max LU9400 Officially Introduced

Mobile phone LG Arena Max LU9400, the first information on which has appeared on the web in early February, is at last officially introduced.

The mobile manufacturer LG and mobile operator LG Telecom have officially presented the mobile phone LG Arena Max LU9400. The new device will be available on sale with the name LG Maxx LG9400.

LG Maxx LG9400 is the first phone based on Snapdragon processor with a clock frequency of 1 GHz. Unlike the smartphone Nexus One, LG GW820 eXpo and the Xperia X10, based on the chipset Qualcomm QSD8250, the mobile phone LG Maxx LG9400 works on a Qualcomm QSD8650 chip.

LG Maxx is equipped with a 3.5-inch touch screen with WVGA resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS-navigation support, is working in networks of Wi-Fi, and has on-board a receiver for mobile TV T-DMB. The device supports DivX, playback of HD-video, and is controlled by the interface LG S-Class 3D UI.

The implementation of LG Maxx in South Korea will take place trough LG Telecom, SK Telecom and KT. The price of the phone has not been announced yet.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. today announced a new mobile phone with touch controls – Samsung Caliber (SCH-r860), equipped with TouchWiz interface, social support networks such as Facebook and MySpace, as well as a full HTML browser.
Samsung Caliber has support of text messages and emails and also instant messaging. In addition it has a 3 MP camera with video recording, Bluetooth wireless technology, carrier-applications and services, audio and video player, 16 GB microSD slot for memory cards.

Alcatel OT-808 To Be Launched Soon

Alcatel, which is known for it’s wide range of budget based mobile phones, such as the OT-980 and Tribe, will soon be launching a new phone,OT-808, totally different form other Alcatel phones.

The new phone features an interesting design, uncommon to entry level handhelds, which gives the impression that you are not so much getting a phone, but fully fledged Netbook.

Alcatel OT-808 is a clamshell that features a QWERTY keypad and a 2.4-inch display packing in a QVGA resolution. An external screen of an OLED design is also included, with a 128×36 pixel resolution

Other features include Opera Mini browser, email client, IM, Bluetooth 2.0, 2MP camera, FM radio, and most social networking integration (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace). The phone will support dual-band GSM connectivity.

Alcatel OT-808 will be available in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America market.

Other details and the release date are not known yet, but an equivalent price of around £80 is expected.

BlackBerry at World Mobile Congress 2010

During a cursory inspection of Canadian Research in Motion firm, exhibited at the Barcelona Congress, MWC 2010, we have not found any new products – only beautifully decorated stands, beckoning invitingly with pastel colors.
Among the mobiles we noted the BlackBerry Curve 8520, Bold 9000 and Storm2 9520 – All models are rather old.
BlackBerry Curve 8520 offers QVGA-screen, optical trackpad, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g, UMA, 3,5-mm stereo.

Smartphones Toshiba TG02 and K01 Introduced

Toshiba has arranged the premiere of two of its latest smartphones based on Windows Mobile, Toshiba TG02 and Toshiba K01, which took place at the exhibition MWC 2010. As the model Toshiba TG01, smartphones TG02 and K01 are also based on 1 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Windows Mobile 6.5 will be offered as the operating system for the devices. The date of release of devices on the market has not been announced yet.

Toshiba TG02 is a smartphone with a thin shell and a capacitive touch screen with a diagonal of 4.1 inches and WVGA resolution. Its main notable feature is the emergence of a modern and extremely handy system of three-dimensional menu.

Toshiba K01 is a bit like TG02, however, unlike the latter, the newdevice is equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone has a thickness of 12,9 mm and is the first smartphone produced by Toshiba that comes with a OLED screen. The display also has a diagonal of 4.1 inches and WVGA resolution.

Acer Introduced Four New Smartphones

Acer has presented four new mobile devices at the exhibition of mobile technologies MWC 2010: Acer beTouch E400, Acer beTouch E110, Acer neoTouch P300 and Acer neoTouch P400.

Acer beTouch E400 is running based on Android 2.1 operating system, and offers a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with HVGA resolution, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, a 3,5 mm audio jack, support for Microsoft Exchange Server, a 3,2 megapixel camera as well as Qualcomm processor with a clock frequency of 600 Hz. E400 will be available on sale in April this year.

Acer beTouch E110 is a basic model of smartphone based on Android 1.5 and is equipped with a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, HSDPA, GPS, integration of social networks, a 3.5-mm audio jack and a 3.2-megapixel camera. Acer E110 will appear in stores in March and will be offered in two colors – black and dark blue.

The device neoTouch P300 and neoTouch P400 are running the operating system Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Acer neoTouch P300 smartphone is equipped with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, HSDPA, a 3,5-mm audio jack, Internet Explorer Mobile 6 with support for Flash, the Facebook client, game Ferrari GT and a 3 , 2 megapixel camera. The smartphone arrives on sale in March. Acer neoTouch P400 differs from neoTouch P300 with the lack of QWERTY keyboard and a HVGA resolution screen. This smartphone will appear in stores in May this year.

Puma Presented ” Puma Phone “

The famous manufacturer of sportswear Puma, introduced its Puma Phone mobile at the Mobile World Congress 2010.
The model, which will build by the Sagem Wireless French Company, is equipped with a stopwatch, pedometer, compass and GPS-receiver to track the route runs on the cards, as well as to calculate their duration.

The gadget is equipped with 2.8-inch touch screen with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels (QVGA), an accelerometer, 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash, media card reader for microSD, 3,5-mm audio connector for headphones and a Bluetooth module 2.1 EDR. The phone is designed to work in GSM / GPRS / EDGE and UMTS / HSPDA / HSUPA networks.
But that’s not all. On the back side of the phone there is a solar battery with a charge level indicator.
The model is able to work up to 5 hours in talk time mode and in standby mode – up to 350 hours. The dimensions of Puma Phone are 102 × 56 × 13 mm, it weights 115 g.
The device will go on sale in April. The cost of the device is not reported.

Fly DS185 and Fly SL 140DS

Fly company introduced its first line of mobile phones of 2010 – Fly DS185 and Fly SL 140DS entry-level models.

Fly DS185 is made in a monoblock form factor and allows you to simultaneously work with two SIM cards. The device is equipped with 2.2-inch display with a resolution of 176 × 220 pixels, 2-megapixel camera, FM-tuner, MicroSD format slot for flash card (up to 16 GB), Bluetooth wireless module, and flashlight. The capacity of the battery lets you listen to music using the phone for 10 hours. Fly DS185 device will go on sale in the coming days.
Fly SL 140DS device, executed in the “slider” form factor, has an on board FM-tuner, camera, microSDHC slot supporting cards up to 2 GB and a telephone book for 1 000 numbers. Fly SL 140DS will appear in stores in early March.

MWC 2010: Motorola Quench Cliq XT Announced

The American company has just announced its eighth Android smartphone Quench Cliq XT.

As it has already become a tradition for the mobile manufacturer, the name of the smartphone in the U.S. and abroad will vary – Cliq XT in America and Motorola Quench in other regions of the world.

Smartphone Motorola Quench Cliq XT, previously known as Zeppelin, is based on Android 1.5 and is equipped with MotoBlur user interface. Without a doubt, an upgrade of the operating system to a newer version will be available soon.

Quench Cliq XT is equipped with a 3.1-inch touch screen with HVGA resolution, a navigation touchpad, supports A-GPS-navigation, works in HSDPA and Wi-Fi networks.

The specification of the smartphone also includes a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED-flash, Bluetooth 2.0 module, a standard 3.5-mm audio jack, MicroSD memory card slot, a battery with the capacity of 1420 mAh, which provides 6.5 hours of battery life in talk mode.

The phone is also equipped with a predetermined web browser based on WebKit, an electronic compass, the Adobe Flash Lite application and a virtual QWERTY-keyboard. Tyhe dimensions of the smartphone are 116,7 x 59,4 x 12,3 mm.

Motorola Quench is scheduled to appear in Europe in the first quarter of 2010.
