T-Mobile To Release HSPA + SmartPhone This Summer

T-Mobile in a major announcement on Twitter on Wednesday said that it was ready to launch HSPA with a compatible SmartPhone later this summer. The coming said that further details of the launch would be available in the forthcoming weeks.

The name of the model has not yet been decided by the company and they claim the package to be a next generation one that will mark a revolution in wireless technology. There were also a number of other announcements that were made by the company on Wednesday and they included the inclusion of the expansion of the HSPA service and the WCDMA technology to around fifty metropolitan regions. This will in turn cater to around 85 million people. The company has also announced a family plan that is a two year contract that permits consumers to get the latest phones that are good in messaging like Samsung Gravity 3 and T. The Plan also gives unlimited texting for the complete family at only $20 every month.

In addition to the above T-Mobile has also announced the LG dLite that is available at $49.99 that has a service level agreement of two years. The phone will be available in electric blue and bubblegum color finishes.

The Low Cost Motorola i1 Comes With Sprint From 25th July

There is good news for consumers who are looking for a low end and affordable Android handset and that is Motorola i1 is going to be available with the telecom giant Sprint from 25th of July. This phone is a handset that operates on an Android Operating System and it has a host of other Smartphone features that are user friendly and at the same time in vogue with the needs of the current Smartphone user.

Google To Discontinue With Nexus In The US

Google has decided to discontinue with the Nexus One phone that it has designed due to poor sales and customer service complaints. Google Inc announced that the recently launched phones in the market will no longer be available thus ending the company’s endeavor to bring about a revolution in the manner of how mobile phones are distributed over the web. The internet major said that it has received the last shipment of the handsets and it would no longer make the phones available in its Web store once the supplies are exhausted.

Apple Holds Conference On iPhone 4 Antenna Problems

Apple on Friday conducted a press conference to address the global audience on the recent iPhone 4 issues that has plagued the market recently.  The press conference hit off with a humorous song about the antenna issues on a YouTube video. After the song was over, Steve Jobs went on to state the details and the findings of the problem. Till date there has been over 3 million handsets sold and users have complained of reduced reception when the phone is held on the bottom left side of the phone.

When confronting the allegations, Jobs said that other phones also had the same issues and he mentioned the name of HTC Droid Eris in particular. He referred to only 0.55% of customers who had phoned Apple Care to complain and only one out of hundred calls is dropped. In the conference he stated that the company would provide a free case to customers who buy an iPhone 4 before September. He also stated that anyone who has already purchased this handset will get a free case and a person who has gone in with the Apple bumper for this phone will get a total refund. Owners of the iPhone 4 can also return the phone to the company within 30 days of buying with no charge. Hopefully, the company feels that that would be an end to the issue.
