HTC announced today a new smartphone HTC S740. This is indeed a smartphone, not a Communicator, and it’s equipped with a touch screen and runs under the operating system Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard.
This is the first smartphone, HTC announced after a fairly long break, as it mainly focused on the communicators. Smartphone is made in a form factor similar to models HTC S710 (Vox) and HTC S730 (Wings), combining usual numeric keypad with a side-slider QWERTY.
