Nokia decided to please fans of the fantastic TV series Star Trek releasing a special version of its popular phone 5800 XpressMusic. 5800 is available to subscribers of Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile or O2 with a contract. The exclusiveness of the model will be loaded screensavers, three thematic Wallpapers and eight ringtones based on melodies from the film.
This is not the first time that Nokia produces a phone with popular film name extension. Generally, movies become quite a popular advertising platform for mobile gadgets, and this trend seems to get its continuation.
5800 Star Trek is expected to be released in 1 May, 2009. whether the phone will be available without a contract, and how much it will cost without contract is still unknown.
