Together with Wave S8500, running Bada OS, Samsung company has unveiled another high-end-phone called i8520.
The main difference of the i8520 from the Bada- phone Wave S8500 is in the built-in DLP manufactured by Texas Instruments.
The operating system of the phone is not announced yet. It is possible that it will be based on Bada OS, although the resource Engadget citing informed sources claims that the device works based on Android 2.1. The photo of the Samsung i8520 UI suggests otherwise, but, again, it might be interface of TouchWiz 3.0, installed on top of Android.

The list of technical specifications of the phone includes a 3.7-inch touchscreen Super AMOLED-display with WVGA resolution, an 8 MP camera with autofocus, flash and video recording with a resolution of 720p, a frontal VGA-camera for video calls, support for A-GPS, Wi- Fi (b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1 modules, support for DLNA technology.
Samsung i8520 Halo has at least 16 GB of internal memory plus a slot for microSD memory cards, a standard 3.5-mm audio jack, video and audio players with support for major video and audio formats, as well as 1800 mAh battery.
The device works in networks GSM / GPRS / EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and UMTS (900/1900/2100 MHz), HSDPA 7,2 Mbps and HSUPA 5,7 Mbps.
Samsung i8520 Halo deliveries will begin in the third quarter of 2010.
