MWC 2010: Motorola Quench Cliq XT Announced

The American company has just announced its eighth Android smartphone Quench Cliq XT.

As it has already become a tradition for the mobile manufacturer, the name of the smartphone in the U.S. and abroad will vary – Cliq XT in America and Motorola Quench in other regions of the world.

Smartphone Motorola Quench Cliq XT, previously known as Zeppelin, is based on Android 1.5 and is equipped with MotoBlur user interface. Without a doubt, an upgrade of the operating system to a newer version will be available soon.

Quench Cliq XT is equipped with a 3.1-inch touch screen with HVGA resolution, a navigation touchpad, supports A-GPS-navigation, works in HSDPA and Wi-Fi networks.

The specification of the smartphone also includes a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED-flash, Bluetooth 2.0 module, a standard 3.5-mm audio jack, MicroSD memory card slot, a battery with the capacity of 1420 mAh, which provides 6.5 hours of battery life in talk mode.

The phone is also equipped with a predetermined web browser based on WebKit, an electronic compass, the Adobe Flash Lite application and a virtual QWERTY-keyboard. Tyhe dimensions of the smartphone are 116,7 x 59,4 x 12,3 mm.

Motorola Quench is scheduled to appear in Europe in the first quarter of 2010.
