Moto Cliq officialy announced by T-Mobile

Yesterday T-Mobile officially announced the the release date of Moto Cliq – the first Android-smartphone with touchscreen from Motorola. Pre-orders will be accepted starting from 19 October. The device should be available in stores starting from,2 November.

The price is estimated to be $200 with a contract – similar to the major competitors iPhone and BlackBerry Tour, but higher than the prices of Palm Pre or myTouch 3G.

Moto Cliq

The phone will include a 2 GB memory card, and (unlike most of the Android-phones) a set of third-party software (AccuWeather, iMeem, MySpace, and QuickOffice).

Motorola, probably, has a lot of expectations from Cliq, which is equipped with a special UI MOTOBLUR. T-Mobile intends to position the smartphone, which has 5 megapixel camera, 3,5 mm jack, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3.1″ touch screen, as a succesor of the first generation Android-devices (particularly, G1).
