As was expected, starting from today the new iPhone 3GS becomes available for purchase in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. In several other countries, the beginning of sales of iPhone 3GS is scheduled for August 2009.
The iPhone 3G S is the fastest and most powerful of all iPhones, full of new features: the speed and performance is almost twice higher than that of the iPhone 3G, a long battery life, 3 megapixel camera with auto focus, simple in using video and voice control.
iPhone 3GS has the new OS 3.0 installed, which includes more than 100 new features, such as working with clipboard, MMS, search Spotlight, landscape keyboard, copy paste function and much more. IPhone 3G S buyers have access to more than 50 000 applications in the App Store – the world’s largest store of applications, customers who have already committed more than one billion downloads. iPhone 3G S has twice as much memory: there are models for the 16 GB and 32 GB.
To continue with more technical and hardware details, as the most powerfull iPhone get unboxed, and hey there…! Better then expected CPU and RAM (though RAM was previously reported)
New iPhone 3GS “heart” is the Samsung S5PC100 processor. Its default clock speed is 667 MHz, but in technical specifications is given an opportunity to power up the frequency up to 833 MHz.
Interestingly, Apple deliberately underestimated the clock frequency of the processor, the phone by default works with a processor at a frequency of 600 MHz. Perhaps, the company went to such a step to improve the standby time.
In the new hardware support is also a video in HD-format, the amount of RAM increased to 256 MB.
Updated is and the Bluetooth module, version 2.1 is now supported. WLAN-module remained the same.
