Along with the new Android run U8230 Huawei announced WinMo smartphone S8000 at CommunicAsia . As in the case of Huawei U8230, the manufacturer did not announce technical specifications on S8000 also.
We know only that the Huawei S8000 uses Windows Mobile Professional (did not specify what version), 3D graphical user interface, independent graphics adapter, which allows you to play video in DVD-quality on the touch screen of 2.8 inches. Optimized system power consumption allows the smartphone to play video for 6-8 hours.
Huawei did not specify what standard is used in the S8000. But it was previously reported that in the second half of 2009 it intends to release a number of touchphones supporting WCDMA, CDMA and TD-SCDMA-technology. There’s also a chance that the device will be shipped only under mobile operators’ brands.
