One of the pioneer Android phones that had hit the market a few years ago was the HTC Magic. This phone was the first generation Android phone that marked the entry of the touch screen phones in the mobile industry. At about the same time there was the entry of the Apple iphone and a large section of users opted for this unique phone. There were, however, another section of the mobile users that went in for the HTC model and now this popular device is going to receive an update that will bring in a new set of user-friendly functionalities to the individual.
The HTC magic is all set to receive a Froyo update and Vodafone is doing the courtesy. It is anticipated that the Android OS is likely to overtake the mobile market very soon and this is the reason why Vodafone has intended to go ahead with the update. Users can now expect to get a glimpse of the update very soon and it should be ready by the first quarter of 2011. There is however a drawback and that is that certain features like media playback and flash content will not be available on the new handset.
Nokia has faced a setback as most of their handsets are on hold currently as the widely anticipated ones that N8 faced an unexpected delay. It seems that E7 too is going to share the same fate and users will have to wait till April next year for its release.
