It has been revealed by Three UK that The HTC Desire is all set to get the Android 2.3 Gingerbread any time and there is a sound possibility that it can even be as early as this month. If these rumors are right users will be able to get this update by other networks soon. With this update the users will be able to get the functionality of copy and paste. The new update is also going to support the NFC (near field communication).
This technology will allow you to make payments without even using your credit and debit card. Many users are however not happy with the new technology as once the mobile is lost the user needs to inform the bank for the loss. Other users are happy and they are not deterred by the above as even if they lose a bank card they will have to abide by the same procedure. The first handset that had received the Gingerbread update was the Nexus S of Google that was released in the month of December. Users of the HD Desire hope that the update will go smooth and not be like the other Android updates on other devices.
