Recently at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in Spain, HTC had unleashed two new handsets that had dedicated Facebook Keys. Both these handsets were targeted at social networking lovers and they also boosted of some cool features. One of those two handsets that have been released has a QWERTY keyboard and it is known as the ChaCha . A few days ago this phone was caught in a lawsuit but that has nothing to do with its name change in Spain.
Spain decided to rename the phone as the term “ChaCha’ is a Spanish slang and this is the reason why the addition of another “Cha” to the name of the phone would have sounded more convenient. It seemed wise to change this derogatory name to something that sounded much better and this really makes us surprised as to why HTC did not consider this in the first place. To some the name of the phone does sound stupid however the company feels that the addition of the extra Cha would make the name of the phone more exciting rather than annoying. It seems that the company needs to be more careful when they are naming their devices in the future!
