Google To Discontinue With Nexus In The US

Google has decided to discontinue with the Nexus One phone that it has designed due to poor sales and customer service complaints. Google Inc announced that the recently launched phones in the market will no longer be available thus ending the company’s endeavor to bring about a revolution in the manner of how mobile phones are distributed over the web. The internet major said that it has received the last shipment of the handsets and it would no longer make the phones available in its Web store once the supplies are exhausted.

"Google Nexus One Phone"

The Nexus Phone was released in the month of January and Google has anticipated that the phone would be a bold experiment to sell the above phones to customers over the Internet to consumers without any mobile contract. The company miserably failed in its endeavor and attributed this failure to poor sales and bad customer service.

The other contributing factors to the above decision also pointed out that other mobile phones that were equipped with the Android OS were going to be launched soon in the market and they were potential rivals to the Nexus. Among these phones was the much hyped HTC Corp’s Droid Incredible & Droid Incredible 2. This resulted in Google failing to chalk out a successful strategy to sell the Nexus handsets to the public.
