This was declared by the company in its blog and this new application is going to be beta tested immediately. The major objective of this application called the Blackberry Radio is to give users a simple way to access many mobile radio services via one interface that is streamlined.
The benefits to Blackberry are that the device does not require competing with the other radio applications that are standalone ones. The application will input music feeds that it has from other programs and users can find and listen to the radio on the phone in a quick and simple process. For instance, if the user wants to listen to rock, he/she can get down to that genre of music and be presented with the options from several online internet services. This utility is even available on the terrestrial radio application too.
Blackberry Radio will also enable its listeners to get seamless radio for users to connect with the services that they may not have even heard previously. There is the option of downloading the Slacker application that is a premium version application available at a single click. The release date of the application has not yet been released by RIM as of now in the US.
