Dell finally released its ultrathin notebook Adamo, to become a real competitor to MacBook Air. With a thickness of 1.65 cm, laptop claims to rank the thinnest in the world, but it weighs 1.8 kg – slightly more than Air (1,35 kg). Perhaps this is because the case of Dell Adamo is made of aluminum.

The laptop, which was built based on the Intel Core 2 Duo 1,2 GHz, has a 13.4″ screen with a resolution of 720p, 2 GB of RAM DDR3 (optional 4 GB), extensive communications capabilities of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI and DisplayPort. To connect to external devices are useful the two USB ports and a combined USB/ESATA-port. Graphical integrated chipset GMX4500 is provide you better gaming opportunities.
Using the Core 2 Duo means that Adamo is working on a 64-bit OS Windows Vista Home Premium.
The Dell Adamo will be offered in black or white color. The price of $2000 is said to be for the above mentioned configuration and for $2700 buyer can get a 1.4 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM and a modem 3G WWAN (only for subscribers of AT&T).
Pre-orders are already accepted, shipments start on March 26.
