Sony Ericsson C905 will be available in UK as early as in this month, reports one of the leading retailers of mobile phones in UK Phones4U.

This is another phone to take part in what is called “megapixel rush” and we all believe that only customers will win from this compatition as always. The new Sony Ericsson C905 with its 8 megapixel lens and a host of other photog-friendly features, not to mention the GPS with geotagging, will have a short wait until as early as October 10.
Other then famous Cybershot camera, the Sony Ericsson C905 also has WiFi, Bluetooth, HSDPA support, GPS, and TV-out functions.

It’ll cost around $800 sim-free.

Smartphone Pantech Duo, which was for some time available by the U.S. operator At&T, seems, will soon have a successor. Recall that the smartphone is a dual sliderr  - from one side a regular digital keyboard, from another - QWERTY.

According to Boy Genius Report, the follower of Pantech Duo will be called Pantech Matrix C740. It will receive the same form factor, but unlike predecessor, which is based on Windows Mobile, in Pantech Matrix will used some own platform. Pantech Matrix C740 will be able to work in networks GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA, supports Bluetooth, is equipped with a 1.3 MP camera.

Presumably, its price will be approximately U.S. $80, subject to a contract with At&T.

Velocity Mobile announced a new Communicator Velocity 83, running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. This is a fairly standard GPS-communicator, the main distinguishing feature of which will be two slots for microSD memory cards.

It is supposed that one slot will be used to store user data, and the second slot can be used for navigational charts. Otherwise, Velocity 83 does not specifically differ from its competitors. It is equipped with a standard QVGA-display, designed for networks of GSM, supports Wi-Fi, but it can not operate in networks of 3G.

The world’s first wooden VoIP phone is the PAPPA*PHONE, made by Furni in Montreal for Hulger.

It is made from American walnut and brass, the PAPPA works with Skype and all other VoIP with Mac and PC via USB.

Source says that no software installation required, and hey, no buttons - this Hulger phone is as sleek as it gets, as the functions of the computer interface replace the buttons and phone-screen menu.

Each phone is handmade to order from one piece of wood. The design has been conceived to “wear in” not wear out, so this phone will only get better with use.

Want shoes with GPS in it? Crazy but its real!!!  

Nike owns the relevant patent and apparently Apple with Nike develops Nike+ shoes with integrated GPS-module and additional sensors.

Shoes, according to the text of a patent, will help keep track of your performance at each point with the help of special software and haveing data on the age, weight and sex of athlete, Nike will help to optimize all process.

In addition, special sensors help determine how much each part of shoes are worn and offer their owner change.

System Nike+ allows the athlete to obtain information about run with the help of sensors (embedded in shoes) and with the player iPod nano (or touch) or special watches - Nike SportBand.

In the lastest statistical observations of Gartner, the global market for smartphones grew by 16%, in which the greatest role has the mobile market is the United States. The amount of total sales in the second trimester of 2008 amounted to 32.2 million devices.

WiBrain officially presented a new handheld - Wibrain i1 at the IFA 2008, which main feature is the now processor Intel Atom. Other specifications mainly remind its predecessor - Wibrain B1.

Wibrain i1 equipped with 4.8 inch touch screen, based on the processor Intel Atom with frequency of 1.1 GHz or 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM. It can have either a hard drive with 30 or 60 gigabytes volume, or SSD memory of 8, 16 or 32 GB, 64 GB option is not supported.

Oh, and I forgot to say its a Phone  supporting  UMTS/HSDPA/GPRS/EDGE. There’s also a 1.3 Mp camera, slots for SIM cards and for flash cards of SDHC format, a QWERTY-keyboard divided on the sides of the screen. OS of Wibrain i1 can be either Windows XP or Linux.

There is still no indication of price or release date.

We continue to follow up the rumors in the NET about the upcoming mysterious The 01 Phone.

And now we see the promo-site of The 01 Phone concept device. The website isn’t revealing much about it, except pictures of the device, and a timer, running before the opening, which shows at this moment remaining only 27 days before announcment.

Bloggers learned some details about the specifications of the handset (don’t know from where). According to unconfirmed information, The 01 Phone will have 5 MegaPixel camera and embedded flash memory of 32 GB, and will support 3G networks.

A very interesting specification can be seen from the image as it has a slide out laser keyboard. Looks too furturistic and unreal and we don’t really think the handset will be launched into serial production.

In any case, it’s worth waiting a little less than a month and get the details.

Together with the accidental flash demo leaked on the Palm website, one of the largest Treo community forum has posted a massive photo gallery of the Palm Treo Pro, previously known as Treo 850w. The Treo Pro will be powered by a 400MHz CPU, it is going to have a 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM and a 320 x 320 resolution display screen. Enjoy the Treo Pro photos after the jump!

Treo Pro 850 is already on photos, which are reported to be screenshots of page dedicated to the communicator Treo Pro 850, which must appear on Palm.com yet. This device has already been rumored a lot, as Treo 850.

This new communicator is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, design very much reminds us Palm Centro.

According to preliminary data, Treo Pro 850 can work in mobile networks of second and third generation, equipped with touch screen with a resolution of 320×320 pixels with embedded GPS-receiver and a 2 Mp camera.

Judging from images, among other features, Communicator also provides Wi-Fi, infrared, 3.5 plug and microUSB connector.

And no info regarding its prices yet.

Lenovo introduced a new model of GPS-phone - Lenovo P990. Yes!! This is a phone, despite the fact that it is equipped with 3 inch QVGA touch screen and a GPS-module based on the popular chip SiRFStarIII. Lenovo P990 is designed to work in networks GSM 900 and 1800 MHz.

The source also reported about 3core processor, ( no model specified ), 104, 104 and 144 MHz each. Among the additional features we should mention about 2 Megapixel camera, Media and the microSD card slot.

It also has lithium battery capacity of 1450 mAh. About make interface software there is no information. Also it is not reported the price of new items.
