Hewlett-Packard added to its series of business-class notebooks two new models on the basis of platform AMD Puma - 15,4″ HP Compaq 6735b and 14,1″ 6535b.
These laptops come with a processor AMD Turion X2, AMD Turion X2 Ultra or AMD Athlon X2, embedded graphics adapter ATI Radeon HD 3200, 2 GB of DDR2 memory, with the possibility of expansion up to 8 GB, hard drive capacity of 160 GB, multi-format DVD-drive and built-in a web camera.
HP Compaq 6735b is equipped with 15.4″ display in three variations: anti-WXGA, WXGA BrightView or WSXGA+. Similar variations are available and optional for 14.1″ display HP Compaq 6535b.
Notebooks have a wide range of features for network connections: they have built-in module Wi-Fi Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet-controller, 56K modem, Bluetooth, as well as a possibility of to have WiMAX and HSDPA.
Each of the four laptops have USB-ports, slots for ExpressCard, Firewire-port, VGA and S-Video outputs.
Weight of notebooks HP Compaq 6735b and 6535b is 2.41 kg and 2.69 kg respectively.
The base cost of both laptops is $779.

Today Toshiba announced the release of limited series Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 LE. This 12 inch notebook has a rather stylish and unusual design: top cover has a golden tint of pink and metal. Also, this model is one of the few laptop computers that support 3G technology with the help of HSDPA-built modem.
LifeBook P8010 LE is good not only outside but inside: 1.3 kg body has a dual-core processor low voltage Core 2 Duo in it, 2 GB of RAM, hard disk capacity of 250 GB and built-in DVD drive. Without the usage of 3G, LifeBook P8010 LE can work offline for six hours.
There is no information about the date of first release and the cost of limited series P8010 yet.

The DisplaySearch company, a unit of giant NPD, published sales research data of notebooks of biggest companies of our planet. Compared with the I quarter of 2007, overall sales of laptops in the first quarter of 2008, increased by 35%.
The company HP remains in first place seventh consecutive quarter, taking up to the outcome I quarter of 2008 20.8% of the market. Growth of sales from HP was 40% (hereinafter - in comparison with I quarter 2007). Dell has been able to increase sales of laptops by 45%, controlling 15.1% of the market. Very near Acer - 14,6% market while increasing sales 33%.
It is noteworthy that Apple was not able to pass Fujitsu-Siemens and takes only 7 place of the laptops market, controlling total 4.6%. In doing so, annual sales growth of 61%. This figure is only worse of Asus outcome - 67% growth, which was promoted by the successes Eee PC. Pay attention to the negative results of Sony - sales rose by a modest 3% and the Japanese company stuck at 9 spot.
