The smartphone is equipped with a 2.8-inch sensory TFT-screen with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels, a 3.2-megapixel camera, adapter of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless network, a GPS-receiver, a digital compass, an accelerometer, FM-radio, a 3,5 mm audio connector, microUSB port, 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB of hard drive, a slot for microSD / microSDHC flash cards with capacity up to 32 GB.
The battery of the gadget has a capacity of 1500 mA • h. The smartphone will be available in white and black colors.
The device has dimensions of 104,5 × 54 × 13 mm, the weight is 105 grammes.

Acer Stream is equipped with a 3.7-inch AMOLED-screen, 1-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5 megapixel camera with support for 720p-video, 512 MB of RAM, 2 GB of internal flash memory and a complete microSD-memory card with capacity up to 8 GB, HDMI-output and Dolby Surround Mobile volume sound. The smartphone has support for all the major communication modules – 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth. The thickness of the case is 11.2 mm.

The user interface of the smartphone has offered a unique separation of the screen: status lines delimit the application icons at the bottom of the display from the history of their start at the top. Among the preinstalled programs Facebook, Twitter-client Twidroid, Spinlets, Nemo-Player are included.

Acer Stream based on Android 2.1 Éclair will be available in the second half of this year.

Acer beTouch E400 is running based on Android 2.1 operating system, and offers a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with HVGA resolution, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, a 3,5 mm audio jack, support for Microsoft Exchange Server, a 3,2 megapixel camera as well as Qualcomm processor with a clock frequency of 600 Hz. E400 will be available on sale in April this year.

Acer beTouch E110 is a basic model of smartphone based on Android 1.5 and is equipped with a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, HSDPA, GPS, integration of social networks, a 3.5-mm audio jack and a 3.2-megapixel camera. Acer E110 will appear in stores in March and will be offered in two colors – black and dark blue.

The device neoTouch P300 and neoTouch P400 are running the operating system Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Acer neoTouch P300 smartphone is equipped with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, HSDPA, a 3,5-mm audio jack, Internet Explorer Mobile 6 with support for Flash, the Facebook client, game Ferrari GT and a 3 , 2 megapixel camera. The smartphone arrives on sale in March. Acer neoTouch P400 differs from neoTouch P300 with the lack of QWERTY keyboard and a HVGA resolution screen. This smartphone will appear in stores in May this year.

Acer Liquid A1 is equipped with a touch 3,5″ display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, 5 megapixel camera, 256 MB RAM, modules Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3,5 mm audio jack for headphones.

The smartphone runs on Android 1.6, but later it can be upgraded to Android 2.0.

Expansys Spain is currently accepting pre-orders for Acer Liquid for €379.99 – that’s about $570, and it’s not much for what the users will get.

Besides the Snapdragon processor,the Acer Liquid also features Android 1.6 with Acer UI 3.0, a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display, GSM and HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, Facebook/ Flickr/Twitter integration, and a 5MP autofocus camera.

Apparently, the A1 will run Android 2.0, although this version of Android OS hasn’t been officially announced yet.

Among other specifications we should mention the processor Qualcomm 8250 at 768MHz. As you know, there hasn’t been Android smartphone with a processor at more than 600MHz before.

As we had mentioned previously, the F1 is a really impressive device. Not only that it’s well designed, but it also has some impressive specs, including: 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.8 inch touchscreen display with 480×800 pixels, accelerometer, quad-band GSM and tri-band HSPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP autofocus camera, 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM.

The Acer F1’s will cost about £295 ($482) in the UK.

Acer is also planning to release its first Android smartphone this year – although it’s not clear yet when exactly.

This smartphone from Acer has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a frequency of 1 GHz and is running WinMo 6.5 Professional. Also, F1 is equipped with a 3.8″ touch display with a resolution 480×800 pixels, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3,5 mm audio, FM-Tuner, 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, and in addition, it supports HSDPA-connection, 7,2 Mbps.

It is anticipated that the Acer F1 will be released in September this year, but likely under another name, as F1 is the code name of the device. Information about the cost of the smartphone has not been reported.

Another interesting Smartphone from Acer, presented at the Computex 2009, was Acer L1. It also runs WinMo 6.5 Professional, but, unlike its F colleagues, has a 2.8″ touch display and sliding alpha-numeric keypad.

Acer L1 must be available at the same time as the F1 – in September. Shortly thereafter, the Acer should submit its first smartphone based on Android.

The main feature of the design of Acer DX650 is that one side is a modern touch display with two hardware buttons, but on the other – a small monochrome screen with a digital keyboard. The idea of such a design is to improve Windows Mobile for writing notes and various text messages. But there’s an unpleasant moment – a small display poorly suited for work with text.

In addition to the two screens Acer DX650 is equipped with a 2 MP camera, GPS-receiver,  Wi-Fi module, microSD slot and support for 3G connections. At this time smartphone is sold in Philippines at a price of $517.

Acer has not yet been made any official announcment about regions, where it will be availabel, so it is difficult to say to which markets DX650 will go.

And despite the fact that at this point, all Acer devices are working on the platform WinMo, which means it depends entirely on de Lenkvesaing said that Android and other operating systems are also under consideration at Acer to integrate them into future devices manufacturer.

Communicators ACer F1 and L1 belong to the high end class. Acer L1 will be a slider and with an alphanumeric keyboard. Acer F1 will have a 5 MP camera and has a very thin shell.

What regards to Acer C1 and E1, then they belong to the budget class. The manufacturer believes that these devices should be available to users at a price not exceeding €49 – the cost of mobile phone, but that they have the functionality of Communicator.

Devices will be distributed through the operators’ network. These models will be available in several colors.

When will F1, L1, C1 and E1 be released is not yet known.

At the exhibition stands Acer devices are turned off, so no data on the operating system is know. However, the lack of Start key on all devices may be an indication of the latest Windows Mobile 6.5 will not be used. Some models apparently have a touch screen, but there is a physical keyboard also. By unverified data, all gadgets have A-GPS installed. Hopefully, more details will come soon.

Acer M900 is designed for the business sector. It has sliding QWERTY keyboard, big 3.8 inch screen, GPS Receiver, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and 3.2 MP camera. As we said above all smartphones run – Windows Mobile 6.1, and Acer M900 is not an exclusion. M900 has its own add-in for the display with support for widgets.

Acer F900 has the same WVGA display as the Acer M900, but there is no physical keyboard. The device is optimized for the web browser, thus it has pre-installed Internet Explorer Mobile 6 with JavaScript and Adobe Flash Lite.

Acer X960 is more oriented to those who are used to normal telephones. It combines the Windows Mobile operating system with the mobile phone form factor. In addition, Acer will promote the Acer X960 as a navigation solution, as it has GPS-receiver and the corresponding software installed.

Model ACer DX900 is the world’s first smartphone (known before as E-Ten DX900) that supports two SIM-cards. Otherwise it is similar to the F900 on the main specifications.

Also at the press conference Acer revealed its plans for the second half of 2009. The company plans to release devices L1 and C1 – entry-level device, designed to simplify the transition to an open platform for those who previously enjoyed the simple «mobile». It is to help this and the price – Acer announced a proposed price of $ 62 (after operator subsidies).

Nuvifone M20 is also positioned as a LBS services device. That is, the smartphone provides access to information relevant to specific areas: search, social networking, sharing photos linking them to exact coordinates, etc. And, of course, the communicator has advanced navigational features.

Recall, the company recently announced a co-branded Garmin-Asus new line of mobile devices, Garmin-Asus nuvifone, the first of which was the nuvifone G60, announced a year ago. Model Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20 is the second from the new series. Communicator will be demonstrated at the forthcoming exhibition Mobile World Congress 2009. The exact dates of release and the approximate price of a Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20 has not yet been determined, the company is going to announce this information during the first half of the 2009.

Even though both devices see rather chubby and ugly as they could possibly be, the Acer DX650 and X960 are both well equipped with GPS, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, miniUSB and microSD card slot. Some other stuff they have in common is the 533MHz Samsung S3C6410 CPU with hardware graphics acceleration, the 256 MB of ROM and 128 MB RAM. While X960 is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, the DX650 has only a 2 megapixel snapper.

The most interesting thing about the Acer DX650 is its dual-sided nature. From the one side it sports a standard numeric keypad and a 1.27” monochrome OLED display with 128 x 96 pixel resolution.

On the other side the DX650 looks like a classic PDA with its 2.8” QVGA toucscreen display. The phone also has a jog-dial key on one side.

The other phone, Acer X960, has the same 2.8-inch display but with higher VGA (640 x 480 pixels) resolution.

If you are a WinMo fan, you probably know by now that Acer are baking a big announcement of several new smart devices at the MW 2009, which is due in less than a week. As you can guess – the DX650 and X960 are most probably a part of that announcement and we’ll get a chance to spot them live.
