The new edition of Wall Street Journal reported that the representatives of three Japanese companies – Casio, Hitachi and NEC – are discussing the merger of their mobile subdivisions into one big company.

Such an agreement will help the companies to use common strengths for their own interests and will allow them to compete with the leader of the Japanese market – Sharp.
Mobile manufacturers in Japan should put a lot of effort to make a profit, cause the country’s mobile phone market has undergone significant changes recently.
The merger process of mobile subdivisions of Casio, Hitachi and NEC can be ended in April 2010, though companies’ representatives haven’t commented on this event yet.
