Both smartphones run the new version of the BlackBerry OS — BlackBerry OS 6.1.0.44. The Bold Touch 9930 is a candy bar with a 2.8 inch horizontal touchscreen and a built-in QWERTY-keyboard. It is based on a processor with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz and features a 5 megapixel camera capable of recording videos at 720p, 8 GB internal memory and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless modules. Besides, the engineers of RIM added an NFC module to this new product.

The BlackBerry Touch 9850 is a candy bar with a 3.7 inch touchscreen, built on a 1.2-gigahertz chip. The smartphone features a 5 megapixel camera and 4 GB of internal memory. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.

Lately, BlackBerry smartphones (especially the BlackBerry Curve 8520 with its comfortable QWERTY-keyboard, light weight and low price) have been really popular in the U.S. So there is a chance that the customers will like the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9930 and the BlackBerry Touch 9850, too. Especially if they are as light, as comfortable and as cheap as the Curve.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about the price of these two smartphones at the moment, since they haven’t been officially announced yet. We expect them to be presented during the BlackBerry World conference in May. And perhaps they’ll appear on sale in late July or early August – that’s when we’ll be able to touch and feel them and decide whether we want to buy them.
